The subsidy is fixed by system size and paid by direct bank transfer once your DISCOM inspects and commissions the plant. Systems of 3 kW and above get the full ₹78,000.

How much does rooftop solar cost in Telangana?
A 3 kW on-grid system for a home typically costs ₹1.85–2.1 lakh before subsidy. After the ₹78,000 PM Surya Ghar subsidy, most families pay ₹1.07–1.32 lakh. A 5 kW system costs about ₹2.9–3.3 lakh before subsidy. Roof height, structure and panel brand move the price, so we confirm it after a free site survey.
How much subsidy will I get?
Under PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, homes get ₹30,000 for 1 kW, ₹60,000 for 2 kW and ₹78,000 for 3 kW or more. The money is paid by the central government directly to your bank account after the system is commissioned and inspected.
Is my roof suitable for solar?
Most RCC (concrete) roofs and sturdy metal sheds work. You need roughly 100 sq ft of shadow-free space per kW. Water tanks, trees and neighbouring buildings can cast shade, which is why we do a shadow analysis during the free survey.
What happens during a power cut?
An on-grid system switches off when the grid fails, as a safety rule so linemen are not hurt. If your area has frequent cuts, a hybrid system with batteries keeps essential loads running. Our calculator shows prices for both.
How long does installation take?
Fitting the panels takes one or two days. The full process, from portal registration to net meter and subsidy, usually takes three to six weeks depending on how quickly your DISCOM (TGSPDCL or TGNPDCL) completes inspection.
Do you offer EMI or bank loans?
Yes. We help you apply for rooftop solar loans from public sector banks such as SBI and Union Bank. Loans for home systems up to 3 kW are available at concessional, repo-linked rates. Use the EMI calculator to compare the instalment with your saving.
