Solar fits businesses that run in daylight
Commercial tariffs in Telangana sit around ₹9–12 per unit. Solar generates at a levelised cost of roughly ₹2.2–2.8 per unit over its life, so every unit used during the day is a direct saving.
Schools and colleges
Fans, lights and labs run exactly when panels produce. Systems also make a strong lesson in clean energy.
Hospitals and clinics
Hybrid designs keep critical loads alive alongside the DG set, cutting diesel use.
Mills and cold storage
Large roofs and heavy daytime loads make for the fastest payback.
Apartments and RWAs
Common-area systems for lifts, pumps and corridor lights, with ₹18,000/kW central subsidy.
Shops and offices
Even 5–10 kW on a commercial building can halve the monthly bill.
Temples and trusts
Low running costs for lighting, sound systems and water pumping.
Solar designed around how your business uses power
Every sector has a different load pattern. Pick yours to see what a typical system looks like.
Schools and colleges
Classrooms, labs and offices use power exactly when panels produce: 9 am to 4 pm. That makes education one of the fastest-payback sectors for rooftop solar.
- Covers fans, lights, projectors and computer labs
- Live generation display for students
- Holiday surplus earns net-metering credit
- Ideal for large flat RCC roofs
Hospitals, clinics and diagnostic labs
Hybrid designs work alongside your DG set and UPS so critical equipment stays protected, while daytime solar cuts both grid and diesel costs.
- Integrates with existing UPS and DG
- Reduces diesel use during outages
- Clean, silent power on site
- Hot water from solar heaters for wards
Rice mills, cold storages and small industry
Large roofs and heavy daytime motor loads give these sites the biggest absolute savings. We study contract demand and power factor before sizing.
- Sheet-roof mounting with leak-proof clamps
- Load study from 12 months of bills
- Accelerated depreciation benefit (confirm with your CA)
- Remote monitoring of every string
Offices, shops and showrooms
Even 5–15 kW on a commercial building can halve the monthly bill because commercial tariffs are so much higher than domestic ones.
- AC-heavy daytime use matches solar output
- Quick installation over a weekend
- Branded generation display for customers
- Expandable as the business grows
Audit first, then design for your load
- Energy audit. 12 months of bills, sanctioned load, contract demand and when you actually use power.
- Roof and structure study. Load-bearing check, shade map and walkway plan for safe cleaning.
- Financial model. Payback, IRR, depreciation benefit and loan options on one page for your management.
- Approvals. DISCOM feasibility and net or gross metering as your category allows.
- Build and monitor. Our crew installs; you get remote monitoring and a maintenance plan.
Example: 10 kW at a private school in Kothagudem
- Covers classroom fans, lights and the computer lab during school hours
- Saves about ₹1 lakh a year on the electricity bill
- Expected payback well under five years
Your figures depend on tariff category and daytime use. Ask for an audit to see your own numbers.
Estimate your commercial saving
Select Business and enter your average monthly bill. Commercial tariffs are usually ₹9–10.5 per unit.
Enter your own values (optional)
- Roof needed: –
- Expected generation: – a month
- Carbon avoided: –
Savings over 25 years: – after paying for the system
Indicative only. Based on 4.2 units per kW per day, 3% yearly tariff rise and 0.5% panel ageing. Final price depends on roof height, structure, brand and site survey.
Commercial solar questions
Do businesses get a subsidy for rooftop solar?
PM Surya Ghar subsidy is only for homes and residential societies. Businesses benefit instead from accelerated depreciation (claiming a large share of the cost against taxable income in the early years, as allowed under current tax rules; confirm with your CA) and from replacing commercial tariffs of ₹9–12 per unit.
What size system does a school or small factory need?
Most schools need 10–40 kW, hospitals 25–100 kW, and rice mills or cold storages 50–250 kW. We size from 12 months of bills and your daytime load pattern, because solar works best when power is used while the sun is up.
How fast is the payback for commercial solar?
Typically three to four and a half years, because commercial tariffs are higher than domestic ones and most usage happens in daylight.
Can you finance or lease the system?
We help with term loans from banks. For larger plants we can introduce RESCO partners who install at no upfront cost and charge a fixed per-unit price.
