Your highest-priced units are the ones solar replaces first
Telangana bills homes on a slab system. Once monthly use crosses 200 units, every extra unit costs ₹7 and up. A rooftop system produces during the day, cuts those expensive top-slab units, and sends surplus power to the grid through a net meter for credit.
With 280–300 clear days a year, a well-installed system here produces about 4–4.5 units per kW every day. That is why most homes recover their cost in four to six years, then enjoy close to two decades of near-free power.
- Tier-1 DCR panels from Waaree, Adani or Tata (subsidy-eligible)
- Inverters with Wi-Fi monitoring on your phone
- Hot-dip galvanised structure, raised to clear water tanks
- Separate AC and DC earthing plus lightning arrester
- Net meter application with TGSPDCL or TGNPDCL

Which rooftop system fits your home?

On-grid: solar plus the grid, with net metering
Panels power your home during the day. Extra units flow to the grid through a bi-directional net meter and are set off against what you use at night. This is the most popular and fastest-payback choice for Telangana homes.
- Best when power cuts are rare or short
- Full PM Surya Ghar subsidy up to ₹78,000
- Switches off in a power cut for lineman safety
- Wi-Fi app shows daily generation on your phone
Hybrid: solar, grid and batteries together
A hybrid inverter charges batteries from the sun, keeps essential loads running during cuts, and still exports surplus to the grid. Ideal for work-from-home, medical equipment or areas with daily evening cuts.
- Fans, lights, fridge and Wi-Fi run through outages
- Lithium (LiFePO4) or tubular battery options
- Still uses net metering and gets subsidy on panels
- Can start on-grid and add batteries later with a hybrid-ready inverter
Off-grid: for farmhouses and remote sites
Where there is no reliable grid connection, an off-grid system with a larger battery bank powers the site on its own. Common for farmhouses, agency-area homes and remote facilities.
- Fully independent of DISCOM supply
- Sized to your daily load and days of autonomy
- No net metering, so no PM Surya Ghar subsidy
- Generator or grid charging can be added as backup
Apartments and gated communities
Societies install a common system on the terrace to power lifts, water pumps, corridor and campus lighting. The saving lowers maintenance charges for every flat, and RWAs get central subsidy per kW.
- ₹18,000 per kW subsidy for common facilities, up to 500 kW
- We prepare the committee proposal and payback sheet
- Elevated structures keep the terrace usable
- Monthly generation report for the association
What a home system costs
Typical turnkey prices for on-grid systems with Tier-1 DCR panels, including structure, wiring, earthing, net-meter application and installation. Hybrid adds roughly 35–45% for batteries.
| System | Monthly generation | Price before subsidy | Subsidy | You pay | Suits |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 kW | 120–135 units | ₹70,000 – ₹80,000 | ₹30,000 | ₹40,000 – ₹50,000 | 1 BHK, bill under ₹1,200 |
| 2 kW | 240–270 units | ₹1,35,000 – ₹1,50,000 | ₹60,000 | ₹75,000 – ₹90,000 | 2 BHK, bill ₹1,500–2,500 |
| 3 kW | 360–420 units | ₹1,85,000 – ₹2,10,000 | ₹78,000 | ₹1,07,000 – ₹1,32,000 | 2–3 BHK with one AC |
| 5 kW | 600–680 units | ₹2,90,000 – ₹3,30,000 | ₹78,000 | ₹2,12,000 – ₹2,52,000 | Large home, 2–3 ACs |
| 10 kW | 1,200–1,350 units | ₹5,60,000 – ₹6,40,000 | ₹78,000 | ₹4,82,000 – ₹5,62,000 | Villas, home + shop |

What goes into every installation
Cheap installs fail at the structure, the earthing and the cable joints. These are the parts we refuse to cut corners on.
Structure
Hot-dip galvanised steel (not painted MS), anchored to the slab with chemical fasteners, designed for 150 km/h wind.
Cabling
UV-resistant copper DC cable with MC4 connectors of the same make, in conduit, with proper drip loops.
Protection
DC and AC distribution boxes with SPDs and fuses, a lightning arrester and three separate earth pits.
Panel layout
Shadow analysis for every hour of the year, tilt set for Telangana latitude (about 15–18°), facing south.
Inverter
Grid-tied or hybrid inverters with Wi-Fi monitoring, mounted in a ventilated, shaded spot.
Handover
App set-up on your phone, cleaning demo, warranty papers and a one-page system summary.
Rooftop solar questions
How much will a rooftop system save me each month?
A properly sized system cuts the bill by 80–95%. In Telangana a 3 kW system generates about 360–420 units a month, which saves ₹2,800–3,500 for most homes. Fixed charges and minimum billing on your DISCOM bill stay.
What is the subsidy for a home rooftop system?
₹30,000 for 1 kW, ₹60,000 for 2 kW and ₹78,000 for 3 kW or more under PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana. It is paid directly to your bank account after commissioning.
On-grid or hybrid: which should I choose?
Choose on-grid if power cuts in your area are rare; it is cheaper and earns net-metering credit. Choose hybrid if you have regular cuts or want backup for fans, lights, Wi-Fi and a fridge. Hybrid systems with batteries still qualify for the subsidy on the panel capacity.
How much roof space do I need?
About 100 sq ft of shadow-free area per kW. A 3 kW system needs roughly 300 sq ft. We can raise the structure above water tanks or design an elevated pergola if the terrace is used.
What warranty do I get?
Panels carry a 25-year performance warranty from the manufacturer. Inverters carry 5–10 years depending on brand. Our workmanship is covered for 5 years, and we offer yearly maintenance contracts.
How do I clean and maintain the panels?
Rinse with plain water and a soft mop every two to three weeks, early morning or evening. Avoid detergents and pressure washers. In dusty summer months clean weekly for best output.
